Cacao

Ceremonial beans

Traditionally, cacao beans are hand-ground on a grinding stone, mixed with spices, and then added to hot water to drink.

The heart-warming or “heart-opening” sensation that cacao gives is what brings about the uniquely expansive, peaceful, open, and elevated physical and mental states that cacao ceremonies revolve around. The higher the quality of the bean used to make the paste, the more powerful the sensations experienced from it tend to be.

Ana roasts cacao beans on a stone skillet and hand peels each one, forging a special connection with the Cacao Spirit, that’s why her cacao is ceremonial grade.

Ana and Sebastian have brought their cacao beans to the UK. In Stroud, Jacques from Coco Caravan has transformed this hard work and dedication into a beautiful ceremonial chocolate bar.
